I was a Member of the research team project Environmental protection, economic development and voting behavior
led by Unitelma Sapienza Roma.

This research examined how environmental issues affect citizens' voting preferences. Climate concerns have gained political salience, yet opposition persists among citizens prioritizing economic growth over environmental protection. This reflects a conflictual pro-environment/pro-growth divide among voters and parties throughout Europe.
Using a representative survey, this project explored whether the pro-environment/pro-growth dimension has shaped vote choice and whether its impact is comparable to that of other cleavages (left-right, EU integration). The project addressed a gap in demand-side literature, complementing existing supply-side research on party positioning.
